LCOG Team Presents Recommendations for Multi-Use Path

The Multi-Use Path Strategy Project Advisory Team will meet this THursday, June 22nd at City Hall to review recommendations provided by the LCOG Team. LCOG will present Technical Memorandum 4 which is a culmination of information and analysis presented in Technical Memoranda 1, 2 and 3. It also incorporatesinformation and feedback gleaned from a Project Advisory Committee (PAC)meeting held on January 25th, 2017 and a well - publicized public open house held on February 8th, 2017, as well as additional research and analysis by the LCOG team and City staff, including additional site visits. Technical Memorandum 3 presented and assessed conceptual path options for a multi-use path system in Oakland and included consideration of numerous factors (evaluation criteria) related to each segment and alignment option. Tech Memo 4 presents a draft of what the LCOG Team interpret (and therefore recommend) to be the “Preferred Path Alternatives,” to be included in the final Oakland Multi-Use Path Strategy (MPS).

These preferred alternatives will be reviewed by the PAC and the city’s decision making bodies and will ultimately be presented for adoption by the City at duly noticed public hearings.
